I have FINALLY added a card to my collection that I've been chasing for quite some time. For some reason, the 1975 Topps set has always been one of my favorites. Perhaps it was the 1975 Topps Nolan Ryan card that my father bought me at a card show when I was a kid. A card that I held onto in my collection for the longest time before selling it prior to my hiatus from collecting. It's a decision I regret to this day, but I know that I'll be reunited with one eventually.
Anyways, I've always been fond of BVG 8.5s given their metallic label and the condition has long been considered the "standard" by price guides. I've been trying to become a more focused collector, and I succeeded recently by passing on my annual case of Topps Allen & Ginter and using those funds (well, a portion of those) to purchase a BVG 8.5 1975 Robin Yount rookie card. As I stated previously, I've always been a fan of the 1975 set and the abundance of "signature" rookie cards in the set: Yount, Brett, Rice, Carter, Hernandez and Lynn.
I've added this card to my collection and added a photo collection of my graded rookie card collection. I stopped at Griffey, because he was one of the last key rookie cards I owned. I could add some more recent players, but I'm going to focus on HOFs and star players from pre-2000. This is all a long-winded way to say, enjoy the photo collection and thanks for reading!
