Much like the Donruss Elite card that I purchased a few months ago, this is one for nostalgia purposes. I've never owned a Stadium Club 1st Day Production card, ever. Again, it was always a type of card that seemed unattainable when I was younger and I guess I never really stopped to think about how the value may have dropped over time. Well, here it is - a PSA 10 of Mike Greenwell (the best Red Sox player in '93 not named Clemens or Boggs - a cheater & a traitor). I probably over paid as it wasn't an auction, but I don't mind paying a fair premium for a card I want that I likely won't be able to find in BGS 9.5 graded form. There you have it! Two cards purchased this year - a Donruss Elite & Stadium Club 1st Day Production - that draw back to when I was younger and was never able to obtain back in the day. These types of purchases are what drew me back to the hobby - cards I could never afford as a kid. |
